KARS Survey for USU Hospital Accreditation
HUMAS USU - Hospital (RS) of the Universitas Sumatera Utara (USU) held a hybrid opening of accreditation survey by KARS (Hospital Accreditation Commission) on Tuesday, (01/11/2022).
The accreditation survey by KARS USU which will be conducted in a hybrid manner at USU Hospital starts from November 1 - 4, 2022. The surveillance activity will be led by the Head of KARS Survey Team, Mr. drg. Ricky Marscello Rasyid MARS.
This surveillance activity is carried out in order to improve hospital services and services in taking trust in better health services for the community according to the motto of the USU Hospital, namely maintaining and improving quality, safety, and friendliness.
In the opening activity of the KARS survey of USU Hospital, the President Director of USU Hospital Dr.dr.Henry Salim Siregar, Sp.OG (K)-FER said that USU Hospital had achieved 8 out of 13 indicators of quality improvement and patient quality based on the National Quality Indicator (INM).
"Improving the Quality and Quality of Patients by INM (National Quality Indicators) has 13 Indicators, USU Hospital itself has achieved 8 Indicators in the last three months starting from July, August, September and only 5 indicators have not been achieved," said the President Director of USU Hospital.
Rector of the Universitas Sumatera Utara Dr. Muryanto Amin, S.Sos., M.Si explained that USU Hospital which has educational and public service functions will continue to strive to conform to hospital standards. The Rector hopes that this accreditation assessment will encourage the USU Hospital community to continue to provide unlimited dedication in humanitarian services as well as strengthening the community in the field of better health in the city of Medan.
"It takes a lot of effort to be able to run according to hospital standards because this hospital has 2 functions, namely educational functions and providing services to the public. Hopefully this accreditation assessment will be an encouragement for the USU Hospital community," said the USU Rector.
